Just touching base . . .

Howdy folks. ๐Ÿ™‚

Judging by the messages and emails I’ve been receiving, it seems a few folks have been worried I’ve fallen off the face of the planet, or something, seeing as it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything!

Thank you all for your concern. I’m fine . . . really . . . I’ve just been snowed under with work and other stuff, and as a result my writing time (and, to tell you the truth, my desire) has been somewhat curtailed.

I can tell you, however, that I’ve still been chipping away at some new chapters for the current stories, as time allows, so hopefully at some point in the near future I’ll have something to post. I’ve also been mapping out a couple or major projects that are on the horizon, so rest assured there’ll be plenty of new stuff in the future once life settles down once more.

Thanks again to everyone who has been in touch recently. Your kind thoughts have meant a great deal to me.

Take care.

    Thanks Mark;

Even ere in the foothills of West Virginia thinks have been rather tied down for some time with all the worse snows thatโ€™s been around for dyears. As Iโ€™m rols these two snows that we have just recovered from have been the worse that this part of the state has even seen. I have toa take them at their word since in no way can I bee a judge of what has been said since most of my life has been in others parts of the USA as well as much in various other overseas countries. We are now looking forward to spring, which of course, is a little ways off. Adst least all the snow has melted and the frass is green as ever. Even our wild animals are glad to see the grass since itโ€™s been rather hard on them, especially our fine Deers. We still have five that come down our slope to graze on our fine grass. Sometimes they are down way before dark, eating or traveling across the road and down to the river for a drink, which is just less than a forth of a mile below our house.

Mark, Take care. Take time for yourself. In that, take your time and donโ€™t feel pressed to put something back out to us until you feel you are ready. Your time, health, and enjoyment is much more important than us out here in โ€˜wonderlandโ€™, around the globe.

Thank you Glynn. The writing will continue to happen . . . I’m just trying to pace myself a little and not get too stressed out by everything I have on my plate at the moment. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Remmy Meggs says:

I wasn’t worried, I knew if you weren’t writing you were practicing. But come on, you are going to get worn out and not write anything! Now stop procrastinating, you are a writer for heaven sake!

    • ponyboy63 says:

Haha! Practicing? Hmmm . . . is that what I’ve been doing? Just a couple of hundred words at a time! lol
And as for procrastination … mate, at the moment I don’t have time to procrastinate. ๐Ÿ˜‰
Nice to know you’ve been keeping tabs on me though. Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

Just glad to hear you are OK!!! Look forward to seeing more Chapters, THANKS!!!

    Hi Mark,
I have just finished reading Mardi Gras Murders on Nifty. What a great read, something I couldn’t ‘put down’. The ending absolutely perfect.

  5. Marcus says:

I’m glad you’re alright. Everybody needs a break once in a while to keep from burning out. Sit back, take a breath, now you can get back to work. Your fans are anxiously waiting. Marc

    • ponyboy63 says:

Thanks Marcus. It hasn’t entirely been a ‘rest’ . . . work and other stuff has kept me pretty busy recently, but I’ve still been doing a little writing . . . just nothing ready for posting just yet. Not long now though, I hope! ๐Ÿ™‚

Hope Springs Eternal. My hope is that you can re-leave some of the stress in your life and get back “on track”. Just go out and observe the beauty, seemingly carefree grace of your horses as they gallop around the grass pasture. That ALWAYS brings serenity to me. My best to you!

  7. Chester Thompson says:

    My Dear Friend, Mark,
I have been praying that your life will calm down, that you will become more interested in writing, and that we will once again read your wonderful stories. Truly I know that I’m not the only one waiting to see where the storylines will go next!!! Hope you are having a good Easter Season, and we here from you soon!!!

    • ponyboy63 says:

      Thank you so much.
The past month or so has been particularly trying . . . a close family member passed away . . . but I know that time will heal those wounds and I’m hopeful that it won’t be too long before I’ll be back pounding away at the keyboard again.
I’m grateful for the continued support of you and a number of other readers . . . all your encouragement has been comforting. Thank you.

  8. J Robb says:

I’ve been enjoying your stories for quite sometime. In part I read to escape life’s stresses and darker times. I also recently lost a close family member and found escape in your stories.
You give a lot of us readers the very thing it sounds like you need now. Sadly don’t know how we can give it back (no one wants to hear/read me sing or write – so those are out :P).
Love your work and the range of styles I read in different stories. Get through what you need to and come back to us – we need a fix or two ( was that pc for ‘toughen up princess’ ?).
Looking forward to when things settle and you can add to works in progress and maybe even gift us with new worlds to explore through your eyes.

I just wanted you to know that at least one of your fans is still out here. I look forward to more chapters and stories from you at some point. But even if that never happens, thank you for all the enjoyment your existing stories have provided me!
