Ooops . . . I seem to have missed a year . . .

Hi Folks

It appears that it has been like, forever since I’ve been on here. My only excuse is that real life has been getting in the way again. Sorry about that!

Firstly I would just like to say that I hope everyone had a happy Christmas and the the New Year has started off well for you, and continues on that way for the rest of the year.
I have had a few worries on the home front, with bush fires and drought and lack of water on the little farm causing much angst, but the new year has started well, with some rain and a green tinge across the bare paddocks. Things are on the up and up it seems.

On the writing front you’ll be pleased to hear I haven’t been entirely idle in the past year, even if the proof of this hasn’t been posted yet. I have been working on some new chapters for the Sandmen series, which will be posted once back from being edited. In December I also decided I wanted to try a story that fitted with the Christmas season and I eventually managed to finish it . . . only a week and a bit late! lol

Traditions has now been posted under the Thompson River Tales series.

I hope that you enjoy this, even if it is a little late.

Happy reading

Mark

    Mark,

Many thanks for your updated e-mail. Can understand all the events that have been happening there as well as here. We seem to have had much to contend with here in Graft, WV during the last several/many months. We are still afloat and all are maintainer almost perfect health. Can understand real life events since we have also had many to come and go. Since my last contact, which has been over 6 months, or so, if I recall correctly, we opened another business and closed it after striving to keep it in the profit area. We do still have all our store front businesses as well as our private/public, and personal rental apartments. Were closed our DVD, Game Store sales store as well as our Three Texans’ Taco Restaurant. We are still maintaining and operating our Grafton Carr China store business. That one, is still operated by Howard, one of the three partners. David is now, and has been for some months being working at the local VA, here in Clarksburg. He remains on the active listing to, in time, be further considered a position with the local (Bridgeport) FBI facility. A couple or so, of our store front businesses have changed during the last three months but all but one, at this time remains either committed or operating as varies commercial entities.
We had a very present Christmas and a non-ewvental but quite new year’s, as usual.

Will check out ‘Traditions’ under the Thompson River Tales series. I’m confident Iwill find it as great as your past writings.

Didn’t mean to take up so much of your time in reading this, my email. Guess I got carried away, in attempt to bring up somewhat since our last correspondence.

Take care. Keep being positive and remain in good health with high spirits.

    Hi Mark,

It is good to hear from you again. And that with a very nice story.
I hope the bush fires will end soon so you will be safe from them.
Do not wait more then a year to come back here: that is too long. I almost give up on you.
A happy 2020 for you and the ones you love.
    Ran Od

Hi Ran. Yes, a year is definitely too long! Sorry about that! 🙂
So glad that you liked the story. It feels good to be getting back into the swing of things and being able to actually finish something, even if it took a couple of weeks longer than I had planned!
      Take care,
      M

  3. I am sure you have the same years as the rest of us… unless you’re from UR An us. So let’s get on the planet and get with it!
